Organosilicon modified alkyd resin is mainly used as the base material for room temperature curing weather resistant coatings. Due to their weather resistance life being more than 4 times that of unmodified alkyd resin coatings, they are widely used as protective coatings for permanent buildings and equipment installations, such as high-voltage transmission line towers, railway and highway bridges, freight cars, power stations, petroleum exploration equipment, outdoor chemical equipment, agricultural machinery, etc. Organosilicon modified alkyd resins are also commonly used as anti-corrosion and protective coatings for metals and plastics, as well as non migration (recoating) coatings; Coatings with good weather resistance, chemical resistance, and adhesion; Printing ink additives; High gloss coatings, etc. In addition, organosilicon modified alkyd resin can also be used as weather resistant coatings for ships and factories.

Resistance to gasoline: 30% silicone modified alkyd resin ＞ 16 7% organic silicon modified alkyd resin>alkyd varnish.
The main physical and mechanical properties of organic silicon modified alkyd resin are better than those of unmodified alkyd resin, especially the water resistance, weather resistance, and heat resistance have been significantly improved. It was formulated as a coating, and the accelerated simulation test results showed that its anti-corrosion and weather resistance were excellent, making it an ideal outdoor decoration and protective coating.
The advantages of curing at room temperature, good flexibility of the paint film, good impact strength and adhesion of the resin varnish greatly improve its heat resistance, atmospheric aging resistance, and water medium corrosion resistance.
